Experience and Areas of Expertise
Yvonne is a former lawyer turned clinical psychologist. She has been in the mental health field since 2015 and qualified with her Doctorate in 2017. Yvonne’s clinical experience comes from working in private psychology clinics in Australia and New Zealand, universities, public mental health services and the New Zealand Defence Force. Whenever relevant to her work with clients, Yvonne is able to draw upon her own experiences of parenthood and working in the corporate environment.
Therapy Approach
Yvonne prioritises a collaborative, holistic and neuroaffirming approach to her practice. Her intention is to provide a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, heard and respected as they navigate complex thoughts and feelings. By using an individually tailored therapeutic approach, Yvonne supports clients to uncover new personal insights and learn evidence-based psychological information, skills and strategies that support their therapy goals. Her hope is that her clients will feel empowered to lead more authentic lives by creating positive, meaningful and lasting change.
Out of the Office
Yvonne is a proud Kiwi and originally from New Zealand. When not in the office, you’ll find her exploring the beautiful gardens and beaches in Melbourne, honing her breadmaking skills, and spending time with family and friends.
